Employee Spotlight: Sue Begger

For over 19 years, Executive Sales Account Manager Sue Begger has been a part of Vision Net’s Accounting team and during that time has watched the evolution of Vision Net’s business solutions. We had a chance to sit down with Sue in the newly-renovated Billings office to learn what she enjoys about Vision Net.

What is your position at Vision Net and what do you do?

My name is Sue Begger and I am the Executive Sales Account Manager for Vision Net

How long have you worked at Vision Net?

19 years

What made you choose Vision Net?

When I made a change in my career, I wanted to find a career and company that I could learn and grow with, and I’ve done both of those here!

What words best describe Vision Net?

Customer service-oriented

What do you enjoy about the renovated office?

I love that it is so crisp and clean! It showcases Montana, which is one of the things I love about Vision Net; we’re a Montana company.

What do you enjoy about being on the Account team?

I’m given a bid opportunity and I have to find a way to make it work, so I get competitive bids and put the pieces together to make it work and it’s kind of like design work.

Are there any projects you have worked on that you’re proud of?

Vision Net’s conversion from wireless to LTE was huge and our first large Ethernet job we did.

What have you learned during your career at Vision Net?

Technology does not stay the same! I have learned to work with SONET and Ethernet, and even those skills have had to change.

What do you enjoy about Vision Net?

I like that it is a small company so that I can see the whole picutre; with large companies, you don’t always see the full effect of your work, but here we get to see our projects from start to finish!

What advice do you have for prospective Vision Net candidates?

Be ready to hit the ground running! Vision Net is a growing company and they’ll let you do as much as you want, so be ready to work!

What is something people would never guess you do in your role?

People probably don’t know that in my role, I have put on golf tournaments!

With the changes in technology, how has your job changed?

I have learned new ways of designing and looking at problems with a different set of lenses

What is the greatest innovation you have seen in your lifetime?

The Internet

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

I teach scrapbooking and rubberstamping classes and I love spending time with my family!

What is your favorite movie?

I love Little Women! I love all of the versions it has been released in!

How do you define success?

Creating balance in your life between family, work, friends, and home and being able to look yourself in the face knowing that you have done a good job!
